• Title / Position: Assistant Professor of Religion, Art, and Visual Culture

I teach and write in the areas of religion and visual culture, religion and digital technology and digital culture, and modern philosophical theology. I wrote a book called "Crisis of Transcendence: A Theology of Digital Art and Culture". I also write about movies, suffering and the body in pain, atheism and the arts, the aesthetics of evil, and other weird stuff. I work as an artist too. I'm a photographer (but everyone does that), and do some painting and such, and I have a contract for an artist's book that I really need to finish.
