I taught Industrial Arts when that was cutting edge for girls (1980s) then I returned to teaching when teaching computer applications was cool for girls (1990s). Then I helped write the curriculum for teaching HTML to high school students in 2000 before deciding to return to graduate school. Now I feel like a Luddite because so much has happened while I'm buried in history books. My favorite SF writers are P. Anderson, Brian Aldiss, P. A. McKillip and U. K. Le Guin and my 1895 cottage is full of SF art.
