• Title / Position: Associate Professor of English

I am an associate professor of English at the University of Texas at Arlington. The focus of my research is in early African-American literature written between 1760 and 1850. I am currently at work using TEI standards to encode a number of eighteenth-century texts related to issues of race, slavery, and religion. I'm mainly interested in learning more about XML technologies, but am also very interested in designing and building digital tools for textual analysis.
