In the early 1990s, I was on the cutting edge of technology - I had a Bitnet and an Internet account, programmed in VAX and SAS, and lead the college in using electronic communication for research and teaching. Over the years, I have found that I am catching up rather than suggesting where to go. I use Twitter, VoiceThread, Pecha Kucha, Todaysmeeting in my courses but still feel behind. My interests are history of education and social studies - I would like to figure out how to make historical data accessible to other users. I also dabble in GIS and am working on a GoogleEarth based finding guide for Bessemer Historical Society Archives where I am scholar in residence.
