• Title / Position: Graduate Research Assistant

I am a graduate student in my last semester working towards my M.A. in English. I have a B.F.A in Art History from U.N.T and my specialty is Film Studies. I am currently researching doctoral programs. My personal opinion of Slavoj Zizek is that he is quite a brilliant and interesting character. I saw him interviewed recently on PBS and was so distracted by his constant face-wiping with his hands that I could barely pay attention to what he was saying. Regardless, I love that he attended the recent OWS in NYC last fall and his commentary was very insightful. I am writing my thesis on the work of Terrence Malick and I am hoping to get my article on his most recent film, Tree of Life, published.
